He had some heart trouble within the last few days but had been up. He had been a watchman at Flora Macdonald college for about a year. Funeral services will be arranged pending word of the arrival of a son, Edgar B. Tew, who is stationed at Fort Pope, La. Other surviving children are a daughter, Mrs. Ada Hicks of Lumberton, and the following sons, J.B. Tew of Lumberton, Walter and Bernice of Fayetteville, George of Tobemory, Pearlie of Red Springs.
