Floyd Mortuary, Inc., Lumberton, NC
Gladys Hursey Thompson, age 93, passed away Friday, July 01, 2016, at
Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Dillon
County, SC on July 8, 1922 to the late William & Mary Hursey.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Thompson, and 1
daughter, Doris Wilkins.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Shirley Wilkins Martin and husband,
Bobby of Lumberton; 2 sisters: Annie Ruth Bryan of Lumberton and Betty
Branch of Petersburg, VA; 3 grandchildren: Carol Musselwhite & husband
Randy, Shelia Boone & husband Steve, and Carla Kinlaw & husband
Dennis; 6 great-grandchildren: Rachel, Emily, Allison, Katie,
Graceanne, and Caroline; and a special friend, Tina Bethea.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at 6:00 PM at
Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. Following
the service, the family will receive friends at the church.

Burial will take place on Monday, July 4, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Belch
Cemetery in Lumberton.
