Mrs. Charles Townsend of Ten Mile Passes

Mes Charles Townsend, 80 years old, died Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock at
her home at Ten Mile.  She was injured by a fall about 2 months ago from which
she never fully recovered, and head been suffering for a few days with malarial
fever.  She was twice married.  Mr. W. P. Barker of Lumberton, Mrs. H. L.
Broadwell of Tolarsville, and Mrs. A. B. King, who lives near Tolarsville are
surviving children by the first marriage.  Her second husband and the following
children by him also survive;  Mr. J. Ira Townsend with whom she lived, Mr. N.
A. Townsend and Mrs. Isley Britt of Ten Mile, Mrs. J. H. Powers of Howellsville.
 She was an aunt of Messrs. J. P. and L. C. Townsend of Lumberton.

The funeral was conducted Friday from Ten Mile Church, bt Rev Mr. Westing of St.
Pauls and the remains were interred in the church cemetery.
