The Robesonian, July 19, 1954
   Fairmont---Egman Turner, age 80 died Saturday afternoon about 6:30 at his 
home two miles west of Fairmont. He had been in ill health for four years but 
his condition had been critical for the past two weeks.
   He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lena Turner of the home, four sons, 
Louis, Clarence, and Avery of Fairmont, and Willie of Papino, Fl; four 
brothers, Elija and Harrison of Fairmont, Sandy of Rocky Mount, and Morgan of 
Barnesville; one sister Mrs. Fanny Green of Lumberton.
   Services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 at Pleasant Hope Baptist 
Church. In the absence of his pastor, Rev. A.P. Stephens, Rev. S.P. Dorton of 
Orrum will officiate. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.
