All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Michael Walters MeWalt7@aol.com November 8, 2012, 7:57 am The Robesonian Vernon Walters Passes Suddenly Succumbs to Third Stoke While Visiting Greenville Tobacco Market Vernon Walters, 28 of the Bloomingdale section, a son-in-law of Mr Austin Walters of that community, died in a Greenville hospital early Wednesday within an hour after he suffered a stroke of paralysis, Mr Walters went to Greenville with a group of people ot sell tobacco. The body was brought here last night by Mr J.L. Stephens and prepared for burial, after which it was taken to the Walters home. Funeral service will be conducted at Bloomingdale church or the Walters home near the church at 3pm today by Rev. W.O. Biggs of Elizabethtown, and burial will be made in the family cemetery. Mr Walters leaves a widow and 6 year old son. Additional Comments: Vernon Walters was born in Robeson County Nov 13, 1900 and died Nov 15, 1933 in Greenville, NC. He was the son of Thomas Isaiah Walters and Lenora Banes. He married Pauline Hugh Barnes Sept 7, 1920 and at the time of his death had one son Bobby Keith Walters.
