Robesonian 1/17/1921
Lewis West of Allenton Section.
 
   Mr. Lewis West, aged 71 years, died
on January 9 at his home, near Allen-
ton, of the infirmities of old age.  His
widow and 12 children survive.  The
funeral was conducted from the home
last Monday at 10 a. m. by Rev. E. A.
Paul and interment was made in the
family cemetery.  Deceased had been
a consistent member of Antioch Bap-
tist church for many years and was
a good citizen.
 
Additional Comments:  Lewis West was a son of Lewis West, Sr. and wife Barbara 
Britt West of Wishart's Township in eastern Robeson Co NC.  He was married to 
Mary Frances Britt, daughter of Calvin C. Britt and wife Emily Pitman Britt 
Sutton.
