White, of this county, who had been quite sick for several weeks, quietly passed away. She was buried in the cemetery at Townsend Thursday at 2 o’clock p.m. Her funeral was preached by Rev. Mr. Pate, her pastor. A host of friends gathered around to see the last of her remains. The deceased leaves a husband, six children, two sisters and two brothers to mourn their loss. She connected herself with the Methodist church when quite young, and her connections have been a comfort both to her and the church. “O, death, where is they sting? O, grave, where is thy victory?” She was always found at work in the Sunday school, and her seat was never vacant in church. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.” L.H.T.
