Robesonian Newspaper, November 11, 1902--

Mr. Malcom Wilkerson, an old Confederate soldier died at his home a few miles 
above here last week.  He was a member of Company E. 51st N.C. Regiment and 
lost a leg in the service.  He was an hones citizen, a kind parent and a good 
neighbor, who will be missed in his community.  His death imposses the fact 
that those who made the brightest page in Southern history are too rapidly 
passing away.
