Wilkerson) Mrs. W.J. Wilkerson died suddenly at her home five miles from here Thursday, of heart truble. She was apparently well whem Mr. Wilkerson left home for this place to atend to some business. He was at the depot when the message came that his wife was dead. Mrs. Wilkerson was alone with the exception of small children. The largest girl wen Mrs. Wilkerson was taken sick, ran the farm bell and a crowd quickly gathered, but she was beyond human aid when they arrived. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in this great trouble which has befallen them. Robesonian Newspaper, June 13, 1907-- Mrs. Lonie Wilkerson died at her home in Britts Township, May 30, 1907. she was born August 18, 1872, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Isham Lamb. She became the happy bride of Mr. W.J. Wilkerson, June 15, 1887 and the union was blessed with nine children, six of whom survive their mother. She was an affectionate and unassuming disposition, exempliflying the beautiful christian grace in her life, thereby leaving the blessed assurance that she has exchanged a life of suffering for a crown in heaven. Her death was a sudden shock to all, for it was unexpected. Her father and husband left home that morning to go to Lumberton, and all were aparently well, only to return in a short while and find her in cold death. It was indeed a heart-rendering ordeal and our tenderest heart-felt sympathy is extended to the grief stricken husband and the weeping father and lonely children: In God's will be don, not ours." The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken Away, blessed be the name of the Lord" N.M.
