Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Mrs. Sarah Walters, 1917 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mrs. Sarah Walters Found Dead in Bed at Home Near Barnesville Mrs. Sarah Walters was found dead in bed at the home of her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Haynes Johnson, near Barnesville, with whom she lived, Saturday Morning. Mrs. Walters was one of the oldest women in the Barnesville section, but was in her usual health when she retired Friday night. Deceased was a loyal and devoted member of the Barnesville Bapitst church and was well-known throughout South Robeson for her kind and lovable disposition. Note from the contributor: Sarah Margaret Graham Walters was born May 8, 1841 and died in Robeson County on January 6, 1917. She was married to Haynes Walters. She was the daughter of Calvin Graham and Mary Carmichael. She is buried with her husband in a family cemetary in a field near Barnesville, NC on state road 2274.
