Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Emory Jasper Walters, 1934 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Emory J. Walters Mr. Emory Jasper Walters, 58, died Monday at the home of his brother, Mr. Preston Walters, after an illness of two weeks with paralysis. He had made his home with his brother since his wife died 2 years ago in Waycross, Ga., where he lived for a number of years. His wife was Mrss. Delia Williamson. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Bradley of Trinity Methodist church and interment was in the Walters Cemetery near the house. Pallbearers were; Messrs. Bonson Nye, D.C. Ratley, J. M. Lewis, Dewey Leggett, M.S. Floyd, Fred Floyd. He is survived by 2 brothers, Mr. Preston, Mr. Lewis, and one sister, Mrs. Drum Floyd. From the contributor: Emory Jasper Walters was born Nov 11, 1876 and died Oct 21, 1934. He married Delia Williamson on Oct 24, 1897. Emory Jasper Williamson was the son of Jeremiah Dawson Walters Jr and Frances "Fanny" Lewis.
