Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Hardy Warwick, 1932 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. Hardy Warwick Passes at Orrum Prominent Citizen Succumbs to Pneumonia---Funeral and Interment at Orrum. Mr. Hardy Warwick, 49, prominent farmer of Orrum, died at his home there Thursday at 9:45 a.m. of pneumonia following influenza. He had been ill for about 10 days. Funeral services were conducted from Orrum Baptist Church, in which he was a deacon, by Rev. I. P. Hedgpeth, pastor, Wednesday at 4 p.m., and interment was made in the family cemetery near the home. Surviving are his widow; 6 children—Mrs. William Hall of McDonald, Mr. Hardy Jr. of the U.S. navy, stationed in Brooklyn, N.Y.; Elbert, Hazel, Joe and Sarah of the homestead; brothers—Messrs. Ira Hobbs Warwick, John Hobbs Warwick, Rigdon Warwick of Orrum; 2 grandchildren---Arthur and Annie Hall, McDonald. He was an uncle of Mrs. H. Marvin Baker of Lumberton. Hardy Warwick was the son of Moses Warwick born July 31, 1904 died Aug 27, 1881 and Sarah McPhatter born About 1842 and died Apr 27, 1917.
