At a county court of pleas and Quarter sessions began and held for the 
county of Robeson on monday the first day of January and twenty 
second year of American Independence A.D. 1798

Present the worshipful Joshua Pharoah William Hawthorn George 
Moore & James McNeill Esquires

Ordered that William Herring be overseer of the road in room of 
William Bennet

Ordered that William Moore be overseer of the streets in Lumberton in 
room of Robert Haills

Ordered that Robert Inman be overseer of the road in room of Samuel 
Atkinson

Ordered that Matthew Corneill be overseer of a certain piece of road 
from Angus McBride to Fayetteville road crossing over at John 
Corneills mill

Deed by John Gray Blount by his attorney David Allison to Robert 
Smithley proved before the Hon. Judge Iredill by the oath of Thomas 
Carodine and certified to have been recorded in Montgomery County 
was admited to registration

An indenture of mortgage from David Allison to Norton Pryor? proved 
by the oath of Thomas Carrodine before the Hon. Judge Iredill and 
certified to have been recorded in Montgomery County was admited to 
registration
