across the lake of the Great? Swamp and that he take the following toll

team 4/- cart 2/- foot man 6d & 2nd [2d?] pr? head of cattle - 

Ordered that Alexander McNeill be overseer of the road in room of 
Daniel Johnston

Ordered that Agerton Willis & John Powell be patroles in Captain 
Moors district

Ordered that Neill McNeill bring to next court John Kersey an 
apprentice boy which is bo[u]nd to him and show cause why he may 
not be taken from him

At a County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions began and held for 
the County of Robeson on Monday the second day of April and twenty 
second year of American Independence AD 1798

Present the worshipful Joseph Regan James McNeil & Joshua 
Pharoah Esquires 

On application John Blount is admited to turn the road round his 
plantation on his making the same in good order

Ordered that John Johnston be overseer of the road in room of Angus 
McBride

Ordered that Samuel Smith and Archibald Smith work on the road 
cros[s]ing the Burnt Swamp in room of Kinchen Killebrew and James 
Killebrew

Ordered that Joshua Ammon be overseer of the road in room of 
Thomas Shanks

Benjamin Jenkins exempt from working on publick roads for reasons 
shown

Ordered that John McArthur be overseer of the road in room of 
Duncan Murphy

Upon the suggestion of John Regan & Joseph Wood that they consider 
themselves in danger from their being secuirty of Samuel Regan as 
guardian of Richard Regan it is therefore ordered by this court that the 
said Samuel Regan appear before said court immediately and five 
other sufficient Justices which shall be approved by said court & abide 
by & perform such other order or decree as this court shall judge 
necessary therein
