oath of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, 
these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

Wednesday July 4th 1798

Court met according to a[d]journment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood John Fort and Sion Alford 
Esquires

Ordered that John Noyes & Nevan McBride be clerks to the ensuing 
election and the sheriff summon two constables to attend said election

John Blount and Samuel Biggs constables allowed twenty four shillings 
each for three days attendance as such last term and also allowed 
twenty four shillings each for three days attendance this term

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as 
Jurors next Term / to wit / Ralph Regan Wm Moore / marsh / Neill 
McMillan John McMillan / Buck Horn / Angus Patterson Malcom 
Thompson John Stewart Archd McLain Junr Benjamin Lancaster 
George Thompson Nathaniel Nicoles John Clibourn John Strong 
George Goodwin Jonathan Wishart Nevan McBride Charles Corneill 
Robert Upton Philip Blount Jacob Blount Senr Othniel Traywick

Ordered that a fair be established at John Forts and that John Fort 
Neill Brown & John Regan be managers
