these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

Deed from Benjamin Lancaster to John Corneill proved by Nevan 
McBride

Deed from Robert Haills to John Munn acknowledged

Deed from Ezekial Adams to Joshua Grantham Ammon proved by 
William Herring

Deed from James Grantham to Absalom Adams proved by Joshua 
Ammons

Bill of sale from William Welsby to William Thompson for a negro boy 
named Jim proved by George Moore

Deed from Angus Gilchrist to Elihu Muker acknowledged

Whereas there was a dedimus by an order of last ocurt directed to 
John Ford Esquire in South Carolina to take the deposition of David 
Rowland a witness to a deed from Saml Cone to Matthew Jones in 
compliance to said dedimus the said Justice returned under his hand & 
seal the said deed & deposition of said David Rowland seting forth that 
the said Rowland appeared before him & made that he was a witness 
to said enclosed deed & saw said Cone execute said deed & also saw 
Wilosh? Womack sign said deed as a concuring witness the same is 
admited to record & ordered to be registered

On petition John McEacharn is admited to keep a bridge a cross 
drowning creek on his own land

The last will and testament of Thomas Etheredge proved by Hezekiah 
Thompson & admited to record & ordered to be registered

William Thompson one of the Excr to the last will & testament of 
Thomas Etheredge deceased came into court & qualified as such

On petition ordered that the sheriff summon a jury to lay of[f] the dower 
of Mary Pursel late consort of Achd McKay deceased

John Fort Esquire returned an attachment Mitchel Biggs vs Roger 
McDonald with a judgment for one pound four shillings which 
attachment was levied on twenty five acres of land ordered that the 
sheriff sell the same

Court adjourned untill tomorrow ten oclock

Wednesday April 3rd 1799

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joshua Pharoah Sion Alford & Thomas Barnes 
Esquires

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as 
jurors at the next superior court for the district of Fayetteville / to wit / 
Angus Gilchrist Joseph Wood Philip Blount Angus Brown & Hugh 
Brown

Ordered that a dedimus issue to John Ford Esquire in South Carolina 
to take the deposition of Ann Gowen on behalf of James Terry vs Willis 
Barfield giving the defendant thirty days notice
