[Deeds were always either "acknowledged in open court" or "proved by 
oath of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, 
these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved 
by...."]

At a county court of pleas and Quarter sessions begun and held for hte 
county of Robeson on Monday the first day of July and twenty third 
year of American Independence AD 1799

Present the worshipful John Regan Joshua Pharoah & Joseph Regan 
Esquires

The sheriff returned the venire facias from which the court selected the 
following gentlemen to attend as grand jurors during this term / to wit / 
Albritain Drake foreman William Baxley Matthew Jones Moses Hill 
Charles Thompson John McNeill Washington Cade Jacob Rhodes 
Thomas Musslewhite Christopher Mercer William Humphrey William 
Thompson & Malcom McInnis and John Blount constable sworn to 
attend them

Ordered that there issue a dedimus to John Castels Esquire in South 
Carolina and county of Salem to take the deposition of William 
Murphey a witness to a deed from William Horn to William Horn Parker

On application Neill Murphey is admited to build a grist mill across the 
richland swamp on his own land

Ordered that Dugald McMillan hereafter work on the Widow Campbells 
road under John McFatter overseer

On application Thomas Humphreys mark is admited to be a swallow 
fork in the right ear & half moon under it & crop & half crop in the left

Deed from John Rozar to Milber Musslewhite proved by Joseph Regan

Deed from Archibald Munroe to Absalom Davis proved by Frederick 
Davis

Deed from Absalom Davis to Frederick Davis acknowledged

Deed from Robert H[a]ills sheriff to John Regan proved by William 
Regan

Last will and testament of Richard Wilkinson proved by David Legatt & 
Frederick Davis when Absalom Davis & Thomas Davis qualified as 
executors to said will

Court adjourned untill tomorrow nine oclock
