Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful  Sampson Bridgers Daniel McPhaul & Neill 
Brown Esquires

Rule upon Willis Barfield to show cause & enlarged untill next court

Ordered that John Pursel be overseer of the road from McLauchlans 
bridge on drow[n]ing creek to the raft swamp bridge working all the 
hands within two miles of said road on either side that may chuse to 
work thereon & such hands so working shall be exempt from working 
on any other road

Ordered that the sheriff summon a jury to lay of[f] the dower of Mary 
Pursel former widow of Archd McKay agreeable to her petition filed last 
term

Ordered that Evan Ellis constable bring to next court Martha Rising an 
orphan child

Ordered that John Regan constable bring to next court Solomon 
Keziah Olive & Ann Thomas orphan children
