these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

Deed from Jacob Rhodes to John McNeill acknowledged

Deed from Robert Haills to Alexr Little acknowledged

Deed from William Bennet to John Davis proved by Ezekial Adams

Deed from Robert Haills to Angus Gilchrist acknowledged

Jacob Blount appointed guardian to Reding Baggett who entered into 
bond in the sum of five hundred pounds with Jospeh Wood his security

Hugh McCollum bound apprentice to Iver McCollum untill he arrive to 
the age of twenty one years now being four

Whereas there was a dedimus issued to John Cassels Esqr in South 
Carolina to take the deposition of William Murphey a witness to a deed 
from William Horn to William Horn Parker when said Justice agreeable 
to the dedimus returned under his hand and seal that the said William 
Murphey appeared before him & made oath that he saw William Horn 
sign seal & deliver the deed enclosed with the deposition and that he 
saw Levi Lancaster James Josey & Polley Hiatt sign said deed as 
concuring witnesses which was admited to record & ordered to be 
registered

Court adjourned untill tomorrow nine oclock

Tuesday October the 8th 1799

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood Archibald Buie & Alexander 
Patterson Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias from which the court selected 
the following gentlemen to attend as grand jurors this term / to wit / 
John Gilchrist foreman Henry Thompson Silas Atkins John Walters 
Noah Mercer John Ray Rhoderick McNair John Thompson William 
McNeill Milby Musselwhite Silas Drake Henry Pope & William Regan & 
Samuel Biggs constable sworn to attend them

Ordered that Joseph Regan & William Ashley esquires settle with 
Joshua Pharoah Esquire County Trustee & make a report of their 
settlement which they have accordingly done which was ordered to be 
filed

Ordered that Joshua Grantham be overseer of the road in room of 
William Herring

John Cain allowed ten pounds for this year as an invalid militia soldier

Daniel Howston allowed twelve pounds for this year as an invalid militia 
soldier
