these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

At a county court of pleas and Quarter sessions begun and held for the 
county of Robeson on Monday the sixth day of January and twenty 
fourth year of American Independence AD 1800

Present the worshipful Joseph Regan Joseph Lee & James McNeill 
Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias from which the court selected 
the following gentlemen to attend as grand jurors this term / to wit / 
Isham Pitman foreman William Thompson William Humphrey Meedy 
Lamb Nazara Mitchel Warren Alford Joseph Kitchen John Powers 
James McNatt Jacob Blount Junr William Moore Junr Ambrose Powell 
& Daniel Loe and John Blount constable sworn to attend them

Ordered that Noah Pitman be overseer of the road in room of Robert 
Inman

Ordered that James Barnes be overseer of the road in room of Jesse 
Lee

Ordered that Charles McDugald be overseer of the road in room of 
Angus McGill

William Herring Randol Curry Duncan Campbell Noah Pitman & 
Stephen Sterling who were appointed Justices by a dedimus 
potestatum & commission of the peace came into court and took the 
necessary oaths for their qualification and took their seats accordingly

Sellers

Ordered that Daniel McNeill be overseer of the road in room of Angus 
Curry

Ordered that Isham Corneill hereafter work on Matthew Corneills 
bridge
