these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

Court adjourned untill tomorrow ten oclock

Saturday January 11th 1800

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Elias Barnes, John Regan John Rowland & 
George Moore Esqrs

Deed from Jacob Rhodes to John Willis proved by Josiah Barnes

John Willis filed his petition in the court praying five commissioners to 
be appointed agreeable to an act of Assembly prescribing the means 
of dividng lands in Joint Tenancy, to cause to be surveyed & divide a 
tract of land purporting to contain 5000 acres by patent granted to him 
& Jacob Rhodes including all the lands in the fork of Drowning Creek & 
Great Swamp not previously pattented.  Ordered that Joseph Wood 
George Moore Wm Regan John Storm & Jonathan Wishart be 
commissioners for that purpose & that they make a compleat devidend 
as aforesaid & return the same to next court

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as 
jurors next term to wit

John Blount & Saml Biggs allowed forty shillings each for their 
attendance five days as constables this term

Ordered that the clerk issue a land warrant for William Baxley for one 
hundred acres of land entered July 2nd 1799 No. 129

Ordered that Job Baxley & Benjamin Blount be patroles in Captain 
Pates District

Ordered there issue a dedimus to John Yates Esquire in Bladen 
County to take the deposition of Robert Carlisles a witness to a bond 
from John Sawyer to Edmond Baxley for making a title to land
