Regan Neill Brown Hugh McKay Alexander Patterson Daniel Johnston 
Agerton Willis Noah Pitman & William McNeill

William Hugh Williams Esqr is admited to practice as an attorney in 
this court who took the oath prescribed for his qualification

Ordered that Malcom Thompson be overseer of the road in room of 
John Little

Samuel Rowland sworn as guarnishe in a suit John Price vs Hillory 
Manning & Richard Bullock who declared that he was to make said 
Manning deed for fifty acres of land at any time when Manning required 
it ordered that said land be subject to Prices judgment when obtained

Griffin Staton sworn as guarnishe in a suit John Price vs Hillory 
Manning & Richard Bullock who declared that he was due Hillory 
Manning about 187 - ½? dollars by note - ordered that the same be 
subject to Prices judgment when obtained

Ordered that John Patterson be overseer of the road in room of Angus 
Curry

John Varnum exempt from paying a poll tax for the year 1799 & 
hereafter

Jacob Rhodes came into court and resigned as county comptroller 
when Jonathan Wishart was appointed to that office

Ordered that Saddletree be the lien [line?] between the Fayetteville 
road & raft swamp road as far as Pates & Musslewhites districts

Ordered that Drusilla Moore deliver up to John Grayham a bastard 
child of John Grayham deceased of the name of Katy on the eighth day 
of August next and that if the said Drusilla does not deliver it up 
accordingly then the sheriff of this county or one of his deputees shall 
take the said child and deliver it to the said John Grayham

Ordered that Joseph Wood be overseer of the road in room of Simon 
Willis

Ordered that Duncan McLauchlan be overseer of the road in room of 
John McBride and that John Pursel hereafter work under said overseer

John McKay was fined at last term £20 at this term the court took the 
same under consideration and mitigated said fine to ten pounds

Ordered that the clerk tax in the bill of costs twenty six shillings & eight 
pence on all suits brought on bastardy & the same on all persons for 
breaches of the peace for the states attd

Ordered that Alexr Watson & John Watson hereafter work on the road 
they formerly worked on

George Moore Esquire returned an execution at the suit of Francis 
Colville vs Thomas Ivey Senr & Charles Ivey for the sum of £16 levied 
on 250 acres of land the property of Thomas Ivey ordered that the 
sheriff sell the same

Court adjourned untill tomorrow ten oclock
