these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

Wednesday October the 8th 1800

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Noah Pitman Joshuah Pharoah Robert Hailles 
Esquires

Ordered that Alexdr Watson & John Watson work on the road that 
leads from Lumberton to the rocky ford under John McNear overseer

Ordered that Duncan Wilkerson be overseer of the road in room of 
John Pursell & work the hands under said Pursell with Duncan 
McLauchlan Senr Angus McBride & John Gilchrist hands

A deed from Tremigan Thompson to Isham Channell proved by 
George Moore

Ordered that the hands & overseer that belongs to the new road that 
leads from the bridge to the red banks on Drownding Creek work on 
said bridge as formerly before said road was laid of under the overseer 
of the old road

Deed from John Baggett to John Blunt proved by Thomas Barnes

On application Henry Pope is admited to turn the road round his 
plantation provided he make the same in good order

Ordered that Michael Channel be patrole in room of Noah Pitman

Ordered that Joseph Wood Joseph Regan Esquires and William 
Regan divide the perishable part of Richard Thomas's estate 
agreeable to the will of the deceased's

Ordered that the county tax be 1/6 on the poll 6d on every hundred 
acres of land & 1/6 on every hundred pounds town property and 6d on 
the poll & 2d on every hundred acres of land & 6d on every hundred 
pounds town property for the gaol tax

Thomas Barnes Sheriff allowed thirty five pounds for his extra services 
for this year & Josiah Barnes Clerk allowed twenty pounds for his extra 
services for the said year

George Moore Esqr returned a warrant & execution at the suit of Thos 
Townsend vs Hardy Graves & wife for twenty pounds & costs which 
execution was levied by Even Ellis constable on 250 acres of land the 
property of Hardy Graves - ordered that the sheriff sell the same

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as 
Jurors next term / to wit / Silas Drake William Odom Isaac Dison 
James Humphry Newit Pitman Benjamin Lee William Atkinson Robert 
Inman John Thompson Josiah Taylor William Humphry Charles Pate 
Milby Musslewhite James Stone John Powers Findley McCorvey 
William Flowers William Brown Neil Buie)      (John Buie) farmer Archd 
Smith Ebenezer Ellis James Smith Angus McBride Archabald McMillan
