At a county court of pleas & quarter sessions begun & held for the 
county of Robeson on Monday the fifth day of January & twenty fifth 
year of American Independence AD 1801

Present the worshipful John Regan Agerton Willis & Joshua Pharoah 
Esquires

The sheriff returned the venire facias from which the court selected the 
following gentleman to attend as grand jurors during this term / to wit 
Silas Drake foreman William Odom Isaac Dyson James Humphrey 
Robert Inman Josiah Taylor Wm Humphrey John Powers Finley 
McCorvey John Buie Archibald Smith John McPhaull & John Pursel

Ordered that John Blount constable bring to next court Polley Drury an 
orphan child that now lives at John Johnstons

The jurors who was fined last term for their non attendance came into 
court and was discharged from the fines on their paying costs

Ordered that James Sugg be overseer of the road in room of James 
Barnes

Ordered that James McNeill and Duncan Campbell Esquires and 
Archd Buie meet and settle with David Legatt guardian to the orphans 
of Robert Councill and return a true statement of their settlement to 
next court

Newit Pitman Benjamin Lee William Adkinson James Stone Neill Buie 
Robert Farley Charles Bullard Archd Rea Benjamin Jenkins Jesse 
Harrel Bryant Bird and Daniel Lee sworn to enquire into the lunacy of 
Jennie McNeill when
