Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as

Ordered that Robert Haills be appointed Coroner for the county untill 
next court that he entered into bond agreeable to law Thomas Sewell & 
John P Martin Esquires offered as securities who are accepted

State vs. John Parker
Pettit Larceny
Charged & pleads guildty when the court ordered the sheriff to take the 
defendant to the publick whiping post & there give him thirty lashes on 
his bare back which was executed accordingly

Ordered that the county trustee pay out of the monies in his hands unto 
Robert Haills Treasurer of Publick Buildings the sum of seventy 
pounds which sum to be accounted for in his settlement with the court

Ordered that Jacob Blount & John Willis be patroles in Captain Pates 
District

John Blount constable allowed twenty four shillings for his attendance 
three days this term

Deed from Jacob Rhodes to Jacob Patrick Powell proved by John

Ordered that Malcom Shaw be overseer of the road in room of John 
Ferguson

Ordered that Malcom Shaw / Hatter / be overseer of the road from the 
fork at McLindreys to McFarlands Bridge on Drowning Creek & the 
hands convenient work thereon

Samuel Powers bound apprentice to Benjamin Willis untill he arrive to 
the age of twenty one years now being fifteen

Court adjourned untill tomorrow ten oclock

Thursday January 7th 1802

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful John Fullerton Thos Sewell & Samuel Biggs 
Esquires

Ordered that Robert Haills be overseer of the streets in the room of 
George Moore & that Jno Brock work under him

Deed from Thomas Barnes to Ducan McFarland acknowledged

Ordered John Blunt & John Biggs attend next term as constables 

John Biggs allowed twenty four shillings for three days attendance as 
constable this term
