these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

William Norment Esquire returned an execution at the suit of Phelia 
Rhodes against Francis Blake for ten pounds with interest from the 
25th of December 1795 up to the 7th of April 1802 and costs levied by 
William Moore constable on a lot in the town of Lumberton fronting a 
main street it being part of lot number 107 Ordered that the sheriff sell 
the said lot to satisfy the above debt and costs

Bill of sale from Cannon Cumbo to Noah Pitman proved by Joseph 
Wood Esquire

Bill of sale from James Cade to Andrew Fulmore proved by Elizabeth 
Britt

Court adjourned untill tomorrow ten oclock

Thursday April the 8th 1802

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful John Peter Martin William Norment & Agerton 
Willis Esquires

On application James Biggs Senrs mark is admited to be a crop and 
half moon under the left ear and a crop and a slit in the right

Ordered that Joshua Hawthorn be overseer of the road in room of 
Jonathan Wishart
