oath of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, 
these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved 
by...."]

Britt & Sarah Baggett to Jacob Rhodes proved in the following manner 
/ to wit acknowledged by Barton Baggett.  Execution of Marias Lee 
Jesse Lee Dice Pharoah & Joshua Pharoah proved by John Regan 
Execution of Lewis Powell & Mary Powell proved by Robert Haills 
Execution of Leacy Willis and George Willis proved by Owen Clinton 
Execution of Saml Britt Dorcas Britt & Sarah Baggett proved y John 
Brock and ordered to be registered

Court adjourned untill tomorrow ten oclock

Thursday January 6th 1803

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful John Peter Martin Agerton Willis & Robert Haills 
Esquires

John Blount & John Rea constables allowed thirty two shillings each for 
four day attendance this term

Deed from Thomas Chaney to Diana Corkran Noyes proved by John 
McCall

John Blount and John Rae constables allowed sisteen shillings each 
for two day attendance at last election

William Moore appointed constable in Lumberton who entered into 
bond with Thomas Barnes his security

Ordered that Peter Lamon & Gorton Chase be patroles in Lumberton in 
addition to former patroles

John Noyes presented two plats from the county surveyor for two tracts 
of land sold by Robert Haills Esqr sheriff for the taxes due theron for 
the year 177 one tract containing 640 acres the other tract containing 
320 acres & prayed that Thomas Barnes the present sheriff be directed 
to make deeds agreeable to the acto of 1801 which prayer was granted 
John McColl presented one plat as above containing 1792 acres as 
above ordered that a deed be exd by Thomas Barnes sheriff as above

Ordered that John Blount & John Rae constables attend the next court

Court adjourned untill court in course
