these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

Silas Adkins made it appear to this court by petition that he entered 
and had surveyed one hundred acres of land and that Isaac Jones 
deputy surveyor in making his return to the secretarys office made his 
return in the name of Elias Adkins in stead of Silas Adkinson [should 
be Adkins?] ordered therefore that the clerk certify the same to the 
secretary in order that the secretary may correct said mistake

Ordered that Hector McNeill be overseer on McArthurs Bridge now 
Curries and that three of McPhersons Negroes & Angus Currie work 
on the same

Archibald Henderson administrator of the estate of Magnus Henderson 
deceased returned an inventory of the deceaseds estate and ordered 
to be filed
