these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to lay of a 
road from Lumberton through the Great Swamp at William Harrisons / 
to wit / William Harrison James Philips James Lamb Noah Messer 
Joseph Newberry Joshua Hawthorn John Hawthorn Senr Kedar 
Hawthorn Saml Edwards James Moore Benjamin Freeman Senr 
Benjamin Freeman Junr Thomas Bryan & Rowland Edwards

Ordered that Vaughn Hilbourn be overseer of the streets in Lumberton 
in room of John McNeill

Joseph Wood Esquire appointed guardian to Margaret Fuller a minor 
orphan who entered into bond in the sum of one hundred pounds with 
John Regan his security

Court adjourned untill court in course

At a county court of pleas and Quarter sessions begun and held for the 
county of Robeson on Monday the second day of April and twenty 
eighth year of American Independence AD 1804

Present the worshipful Elias Barnes James McNeill & John Little 
Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias from which the court selected 
the following gentlemen to attend as grand jurors during this term / to 
wit / John Porter foreman Edward Britt Zabon Davis William Britt 
Thomas Bryan Isaac Smith Duncan McCormaig James Baxley John 
Newberry William Atkinson Jesse Hinson William Townsend & John 
Lewis. And John Rea constable sworn to attend them

Bill of sale from Peter McArthur to Peter McMillan proved by Angus 
Gilchrist

On a request from the county court of Richmond ordered that William 
McNeill Patrick McEacharn & John Campbell be appointed 
commissioners to ? the practibility of opening the navigation of 
Drowning Creek from Sellers Bridge to the mouth of ? and report their 
opinion to next court

Ordered that James McQueen David Torry & Randol Curry Esquires 
be a committee to settle with the admr of Archd McKay and make 
report thereof to next court
