Drake Esquires Absolam Sugg appointed overseer of the road in room of Benjamin Britt Daniel Douglas appointed overseer of the road in room of Daniel McInnis weaver Ordered that Frederick Davis be overseer of the road from Power's Bridge to the Little Marsh on the Fayetteville road and that the following hands work under him / viz / Robert Mac Alpin Neil McAlpins negro fellow John Barlow & John McMillan Ordered that Benjamin Jenkins work on the road under William Humphreys overseer Ordered that John Blount and John Ray attend at July Term next as constables John Blount and John Ray constables were allowed twenty four shillings each for their attendance during this term John Little and Duncan Campbell Esquries who were appointed a committee to settle with the Admrs of John McKay made their report which was ordered to be filed Deed from Richard Regan to Isaac Smith proved by John Regan Esquire Ordered that William Thomson Junr be overseer of the road in room of Benjamin Blount and that the following hands work under him viz William Thomson Junr hands Ezekiah Thomson James Barfield & Willm Wheeler Sion Alford John Little and Duncan McNeil Esquires who were appointed a committee to settle with the admrs Samuel Kennedy made their report which was ordered to be filed Page 289 [image 147b] State vs James Russell - Pettit Larceny - Charged & Pleads as Guilty - When the following jury were sworn to well and truly try the above issue of Travers / to wit / John McKinnon John Duncan James Barnes Archd McKellar Neil Murphy Angus McDougald Moses Grantham Charles McDougald Mitchell Biggs Noah Mercer Charles Barker and John Biggs who in their oaths did find the defendant guilty of the charges upon which the court ordered the sheriff to take the deft to the publick post and give him five lashes on his bare bakc which sentence was executed accordingly William Ashley Esquire returned an execution at the suit of Isaac Bledsoe against Sion Bullard for fifty three shillings & costs levied by Theophilus Griffin constable on one hundred twenty five acres of land whereon Sion Bullard now lives ordered that the sheriff sell the same Court adjourned untill tomorrow 9 oclock Thursday April 5th [1804] Court met according to adjournment Present the worshipfull Thomas Sewell Robert Haills John McNeill Esquires Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as jurors at the next term viz Arthur Hedgepath Robt Jarman Danl Loe Neil ?
