At a county court of pleas and Quarter sessions begun and held for the 
county of Robeson on Monday the Second day of July and t[w]enty 
eighth year of American Independence AD 1804

Present the worshipful Stephen Sterling John Storm James McNeill 
Thomas Sewell & Samson Bridgers Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias from which the court selected 
the following gentlemen to attend as grand jurors this term / viz / Danl 
Low Foreman John McCormaig Duncan McEacharn Angus Murphy 
Josiah Barnes Moses Grantham William Humphrey John McNatt John 
Powell John Johnston Daniel Matthews James Alford & Britton Barnes 
and John Roe constable sworn to attend them

Josiah Barnes Esquire was appointed deputy clerk of this court and 
took the oaths necessary for his qualification as such

Ordered that John Willis be apointed overseer of the road in room of 
William Humphry

Ordered that Archibald McCollum be appointed overseer of the road in 
room of John Fiveash

Ordered that Jacob Blounts mark be a crop & half crop in the left ear 
and a smooth crop in the right ear

Thomas Sewell and John Storm Esquires who were appointed a 
committee to examine the accounts of Samson Bridgers County 
Treasurer for the year 1802 find a ballance remaining in the hands of 
the said Treasurer of one hundred and thirty eight pounds ? shillings 
half penny due the county after his commission ?

Ordered that Moses Parker be overseer of the road in room of 
Benjamin Britt Junr

Ordered that William ? be overseer of the road in room of ?
