Fachlin? McLean was appointed constable in Captain Jordan's District 
who entered into bond with John McLean his security

Robert Haills Esquire returned an execution at the suit of William 
Norment agt Angus Carter & Horatia Hammons for fourteen pounds 
vie shillings & costs with interest from the first day of March 1804 
levied by William Moore Constable levied on two hundred acres of land 
the property of said Carter adjoining the land of William Norment 
Ordered that the sheriff sell the same

John Regan appointed constable in Captain Regans District who 
entered into bond with Joseph Regan his security

Alexander Hammons a lad of Couler [color] bound an apprentice to 
Neill McEachan untill he arrive at the age of twenty one years being 
about eleven years at the time when the said Neill McEachan entered 
into bond and securities as the law requires

Deed from Neil Buie to Patrick Smith proved by Neil Brown Esquire

Deed from John Loe to Philip Spear proved by John Barnes

Adjourned untill tomorrow 10 oclock

Wednesday July 4th [1804] Court met according to adjournment

McPhaul and James McNeil Esquires

Daniel McPhaul Esquire returned an execution at the suit of Allen 
Smith agt Lewis and Jacob Strickland for the sum of fifteen pounds 
nine shillings & costs levied by Isaac Dyson on one hundred acres of 
land the property of Jacob Strickland on the North? east side of 
Drowning Creek joining his fathers old place Ordered that the sheriff 
sell the same

Daniel McPhaul Esquire returned an execution at the suit of Angus 
McAlister agt Jacob Strickland for the sum of ten pounds five shillings 
and six and three pence interest with costs levied by Isaack Dyson 
constable on one hundred acres of land the property of Jacob 
Strickland on the North? East side of Drowning Creek joining his 
fathers old place Ordered that the sheriff sell the same

Thomas Davis exempted from the payment of the tax on 4703 acres of 
land for which he was charged more than the quantity he possessed 
for the year 1803

Ordered that Daniel Campbell be appointed overseer of the road 
leading from Lumberton to Moore County Court House from the Post 
road to the Cumberland County line near Murdock McIntoshs working 
the hands included between said Lumberton road the raft swamp road 
& post road

Ordered that Daniel Nevan be overseer of the road in room of Murdock 
Lammon

Ordered that John Smith be overseer of the road the North side of little 
Marsh to the County line

Ordered that John Blount & John Ray constables be allowed each the 
sum of twenty four shillings for there attendance this term

Ordered that John McNeil Dugd McNeil Hector McNeil Archd Gilchrist 
Bennet Brown? & Donald Munroe work on the road leading from 
Hector McNeils to Rockfish bridge under Archd Wilkeson

Ordered that Angus Curry be appointed overseer of the road in room of 
Hector McNeil - and Wm McPhersons hands work under him

Ordered that the following gentlemen be appointed to superintend the 
different elections in the county / to wit / at John McPhauls for the 
county Archibald McEacharn and John Campbell for Congress Archd 
Gilchrist & Archd McNeil
