At Major? Alfords for the County Angus McLean & Gilbert Sellers, for 
Congress John Stewart and Neil Smith.  At Jesse Lees for the County 
William Barnes & John Flowers for Congress - Needham Rowland & 
William Herring

At Lumberton for the County John Little and Joseph Regan, for 
Congress Peter Lammon and Absolom? Adkninson

Ordered that Danl Ferguson be exempted from paying the tax on one 
hundred acres of land and Neil McNeil exempt from the payment of 
one free poll

Thomas Barnes Sheriff returned his list of Insolvents which was 
allowed him on oath and ordered to be filed

Court adjourned until Court in Course

At a County Court of pleas and Quarter Sessions begun and held for 
the county of Robeson on Monday the first day of October and twenty 
ninth year of American Independence AD 1804

Present the worshipful John Storm Zachariah Jordan Thomas Sewell & 
John McLain Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias from which the court selected 
the following gentlemen to attend as grand jurors during this term to wit 
Silas Drake foreman John Barnes John McColl Archd McCallum 
Angus Black John McMillan Noah Pitman Dugald McLauchlan John 
Willis & William Barnes and John Rea constable sworn to attend them

John Storm appointed one of the rangers for this county ordered that 
he enter into bond agreeable to law

Ordered that all Joseph Woods hands & overseer compelled to work 
on the road ordered that the said hands work on the great swamp from 
a place agreed upon between said Wood and the overseer & hands 
working on said roads from the plan agreed upon between them to the 
county line and on the same being [k]ept in good order that Mr. Woods 
hands be exempt from other services
