Deed from Henry William Harrington to John McPhail proved by John 
McPhaul Junr

Alexander Galbreath appointed constable who entered into bond with 
James McNeill his security

Administration on the estate of John McLeran is granted to Archibald 
McGugan who entered into bond in the sum of two hundred pounds 
with John McGugan his security & took the oath necessary in such 
case

Archd McGugan administrator of the estate of John McLeran returned 
an inventory of the deceaseds estate and ordered to be filed

Ordered that Archd McGugan admr of John McLeran deceased sell 
the perishable part of the deceaseds estate

Administration on the estate of Joseph Atkinson was granted to Britton 
Barnes & Betsey Atkinson who entered into bond in the sum of one 
thousand pounds with Willoughby Adams their security and took the 
necessary oath in such case

Britton Barnes appointed guardian to Henry & Kinchen Atkinson minor 
orphans of Joseph Atkinson deceased who entered into bond in the 
sum of two thousand pounds with Curtis Sugg & James Barnes his 
securities

Ordered that Neill McBride be overseer of the road in room of Archd 
McQuilkin

Court adjourned untill tomorrow ten oclock

Tuesday January the 8th 1805

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joseph Regan James McNeill and John McNeill 
Esquires

Ordered that Randal Curry be overseer of the road in room of John 
Purcell - Ordered that John Browns mark be a half moon and hole in 
the left ear and a smooth crop and under square in the right ear

[in margin: "this order is deferred?"] Ordered that the sheriff summon 
the following gentlemen as jurors to lay off a road the nearest and best 
way from Donald McDonalds to intersect the post road a quarter of a 
mile from Archibald McEacherns house (to wit) Edward Curry Edward 
Love Donand McDugald Colin Lindsay Archibald McNeill Pattrick Kelly 
Duncan McBride Angus McBride James Stewart Donald McIntosh 
Archibald McEachen John McEachen Senr Neill Ferguson Duncan 
Ferguson Angus McLeod and William McLeod

Wiley Alford who was bail for Washington Cade in a suit brought agt 
him by Duncan Love surrendered him to the court when he was 
discharged as bail accordingly

Ordered that Roderick Mac Nair be overseer for opening the navigation 
of Drowning Creek from Sellers's Bridge to John Campbells bridge and 
that all the hands who live within one and half miles of the Creek on 
either side if they think proper may work thereon and such hands to 
work shall be exempt from working on any public road

Ordered that Patrick McEachen be overseer for opening the navigation 
of Drowning Creek from Campbell's Bridge to the line of Richmond 
County and that such of the hands on the East side of the Creek within 
one & a half miles of the same as may choose shall work thereon 
which will exempt them from working on any public road

Ordered that John Blount be allowed the sum of five pounds for 
attending the different elections in this county as Coroner and that the 
County Treasurer pay him the same for which he will be allowed on the 
settlement of his accounts
