At a county court of pleas and Quarter session begun and held for the 
county of Robeson on Monday the first day of April and twenty ninth 
year of American Independence AD 1805

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood Thomas Barnes & Duncan 
Campbell Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias from which the court selected 
the following gentlemen to attend as grand jurors this term / to wit / 
William Regan foreman John Barnes Moses Grantham Joshua 
Hawthorn Everit Lee William Odom James Smith Samuel Willis James 
Lamb Danl Lowe John Pope William Sterling Henry Bird John Blount 
constable sworn to attend them

Ordered that William Odom be overseer of the road in room of William 
Thompson 

Ordered that the road from Josiah Barnes to William Thompsons / 
road / be discontinued and that the hands who work on said road from 
William Barnes to said Thompson hereafter work on the road from 
Josiah Barnes to where Michael Barnes formerlly lived

Ordered that Jacob Allen be overseer of the road in room of Angus 
McEacharn

Ordered that James Lowry Senr be overseer of the road from his own 
house to where Neill Buie formerlly lived

William Regan exempt from working on publick roads

Ordered that Duncan Murphy be overseer of the road form the meeting 
house to Angus McGills

Deed of gift from Neill Gillis to Catherine Gillis proved by Neill Brown

Deed of gift from Joseph Fort to Thomas Muse proved by Hugh Brown

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as 
jurors at the next superior court to be held for the District of Fayetteville 
/ to wit /Newit Pitman Hugh Brown John Storm Neill Brown Jonathan 
Wishart & Peter Lamon

Ordered that Gilbert Brumble pay to Fereby Cox four pounds for the 
maintenance of a bastard child for the year 1805 whereon he stands 
charged the reputed father

Ordered that Matthew Kelley be overseer of the road in room of Neill 
McGill

Ordered that Thomas Barnes? John McNeil and Peter Lamon esquires 
be a committee to settle with Duncan Campbell & Roderick McLain? 
administrators of Samuel Kennedy deceased

Ordered that Leonard Musslewhite be exempt from working on publick 
roads

Ordered that John Blount constable bring to this court at this term 
Elizabeth Russell Catharine Russell & [blank] Russell bastard children 
of Elvira Russell for the purpose of binding them according to the law
