Ordered that Thomas Barnes John Storm & Robert Haills be a 
committee to settle with the administrators of the estate of John McKay 
deceased and that they report to next court

At a Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions begun and held for the 
county of Robeson at the Town of Lumberton on Monday the 7th day 
of October Anno Domini 1805 and of American Independence the 
twenty ninth

Present the worshipful John Regan Joseph Wood James McNeill & 
Duncan Campbell Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias and the following gentlemen 
were selected to attend as Grand Jurors during this term /viz/ Mathew 
Powers (Foreman) Wm Thompson Senr Jacob Black? Newit Pitman 
Wm Odum John Barnes Henry Purvis Silas Drake Henry Thompson 
James McRee James Biggs Malcom McNeill & John Regan and John 
Ray constable sworn to attend them

Ordered that Jesse Musslewhite be overseer of the road in room of 
Caleb Baxley

Ordered that John Overstreet be overseer of the road in room of 
Mathew Kelly

Ordered that John West be overseer of the road in room of Jesse 
Philips

Ordered that John McNeil be overseer of the road from the Cross 
Roads to the Old post road

Administration on the estate of Peter Smith deceased was granted to 
Barbara Smith & John Currie who entered into bond in the sum of one 
hundred & fifty pounds with Archibald Currie their security when the 
administrators returned an inventory of the estate of the deceased 
which was ordered to be filed

Administration on the estate of Neill McGill deceased was granted to 
John McPhatter who entered into bond with James McNeil his security 
in the sum of two hundred & fifty pounds when the said administrator 
returned an inventory of the estate of the said deceased which was 
ordered to be filed
