It is ordered in pursuance of a petition filed that the sheriff summon a 
jury to lay off a road at or near John McLeods plantation /blacksmith/ to 
the county line of Richmond agreeable to the said petition

Court adjourned untill tomorrow nine oclock

Thursday October the 10th 1805

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood Thomas Barnes John Regan and 
Robert Haills Esquires

George Moore vs Stephen Beck Jury charged to assess the value of 
25.000 feet of Lumber due by Note of William Norment to Stephen 
Beck lodged in the hands of Jacob Rhodes Guarnishee on their oath 
find the 25.000 feet of Lumber worth one hundred and fifty pounds

Ordered that so much of the above note or the value thereof as above 
assessed be condemned to the payment of George Moore's Judgment 
as shall remain after deducting the Judgment of Mr. Norment as 
contended for by Mr. Davis the Council for said Norment he being 
present in Court and a party thereto

The Administrator of John F Litchworth returned an inventory of the 
estate ordered that the administrator sell the perishable property of 
said estate

Ordered that Joseph Woods plantation on the head of the White Oak 
Swamp called Wilsons place be added to the Bluff road district & that 
all the hands belonging to said plantation work on said road

A power of attorney from Annath Willis to Elias Barnes and Thomas 
Barnes esquires was presneted in open court which appeared to be 
acknowledged before John Henderson a Notary Public of the 
Mississippi Territory ? the same being admited to record was ordered 
to be registered

Ordered that John Regan Thomas Barnes & Peter Lamon be a 
committee to settle with the administrator of the estate of John McKay 
& to report to next term

Ordered that John McInnis Senr be overseer of the road in room and 
district of Daniel Douglas

Court adjourned untill to morrow 9 oclock

Friday October the 11th [1805] Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood John McNeil & John P Martin 
Esquires

Ordered that John Blount constable be allowed the sum of forty 
shillings for his attendance during this term

Peter Lamon Esquire returned an execution against Angus Carter and 
Malcom Carter at the suit of John McNeill for the sum of fifteen pounds 
fifteen shillings and cost levied by Angus Taylor deputy sheriff on one 
hundred acres of land whereon said Angus Carter now lives

Administration on the estate of Absolam Atkison deceased was 
granted to Jesse Lee who entered into bond with Joseph Wood his 
security in the sum of five hundred pounds

Vaughn Hillborne was appoin[te]d constable in Captain Blounts district 
and in the Town of Lumberton when he entered into bond as the law 
requires with John Hesters his security

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as 
Jurors at January Term next to wit Wm Thompson /horse? swamp/ 
Hugh Brown Senr William Brown Geo Ikner Daniel Low Angus Black 
Gilbert Sellers Jacob Barnes Andrew Fullmore John Pope Meedy 
Lamb Joshua Hawthorn Johnathan Wishart John Storm Duglas Powell
