Wednesday January 8th 1806

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood Duncan Campbell & John McLain 
Esquires

Deed from Moses Grantham to Jacob Rhodes acknowledged

Deed from Joseph Skets? to Thomas Butcher proved by John Storm

Deed from John McColl to Absalom Atkinson acknowledged

Deed from John McCormaig Junr to Duncan McCormaig proved by 
Malcom Murphey

Administration on the estate of Theophilus Thompson deceased was 
granted to Henry Thompson who entered into bond in the sum of five 
hundred pounds with John Thompson his security and qualified as 
such and at same time returned an inventory of deceaseds estate

Jesse Lee administrator of the estate of Absolom Atkinson deceased 
returned an inventory of the deceased which was ordered to be filed

Lemuel Thompson Exr of the estate of Charity Hedgepath returned an 
inventory of the deceaseds estate & ordered to be filed

Deed from Daniel McLain to Normond Morrison proved by John 
Morrison

Ordered that the admr of Theophilus Thompson sell the perishable 
property of the deceaseds estate

Ordered that the Exrs of Charity Hedgepeth sell as much of the 
property of deceased as will pay her debts

Ordered that the admr of Absalom Atkinson deceased sell the personal 
property of the deceased

Ordered that John Regan Thomas Barnes & Duncan Campbell 
Esquires be a committee to settle with the admr of John McKay & 
report to next court

Ordered that Edward Love be overseer of the road from Colin Lindsays 
to Duncan McFarlands bridge on Drowning Creek & that the hands 
living between McFarlands old road & the Cumberland County line as 
formerly worked thereon
