Court met according to Adjournment

Present the Worshipful Malcom Nicolson John Regan & Archibald McNeil Esquires

Ordered that James Lee be overseer of the road in room of Joseph Lee

Ordered that John Britt be overseer of the road in room of Jesse Philips

Ordered that Adam McKay be overseer of the road in room of William Watson

Ordered that Noah Mercer be overseer of the Creek in room of Jonathan Wishart

Ordered that the following gentlemen be summoned by the Sheriff to lay off a 
road from the Town of Lumberton the nearest and most convenient Course to the 
Bridge on the ten mile Swamp and report to next Term to Wit John Storm Robert 
Haills Charles Pate James Humphrey William Townsend Thomas Sewell William 
Humphry Joseph Newberry John Porter Jonathan Wishart Joshua Hawthorn and Henry 
Bird

Ordered that Thomas Sewell Esquire be a Commissioner to Act in Conjunction with 
such Commissioner as may be appointed at the County Court of Cumberland to adopt 
some plan for rebuilding the bridge on big Rockfish where the post road crosses 
the same and that the expense incurred thereby so far as respects the County be 
a County Charge

Ordered that Thomas Sewell Robert Haills & Peter Lamon esqrs be a Committee to 
Settle with Neil Brown Executor of the Estate of John Brown Present to next Term
