nearest and most convenient way so as to miss Jacob Rhodes's Mill pond from 
Lumberton to the Ten Mile Swamp where the Fayetteville road crosses To wit John 
Porter Job Baxley John Jackson Moses Grantham John McNat Thomas Musselwhite 
Junr Jesse Musselwhite Senr Jesse Musselwhite Junr Hugh Brown Junr John Johnson

Elias Alford was appointed guardian to James Ard a minor orphan who entered 
into bond in the sum of six hundred pounds with Sion Alford his security

Rachel Simpson a minor orphan was bound to Joseph Regan untill she arrive at 
the age of eighteen years she now being eight years of age

The jury who was appointed to lay off a road from the Fayetteville road near 
["Jesse Harrels" lined through] John Hammons to the road near Elisha Harrels 
made their report

Court adjourned untill tomorrow 10 oclock

Thursday January 8th 1807

Court met according to adjourment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood Joseph Regan & Zachariah Jordan Esquires

The committee who were appointed to settle with Neil Brown Executor to the last 
will & testament of John Brown decd reported which was ordered to be filed

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to lay off the dower of 
Nancy Lamb widow of Meedy Lamb deceased / to wit / William Moore Senr Jesse Lee 
John Storm Jacob Blout John Pope John Barnes Andrew Fulmore Newit Pitman Isaac 
Bird Henry Purvis Benjamin Blount William Thomson Senr William Atkison & Hardy 
Pitman and they report to next term

Albritton Drake Esquire returned an execution against Thomas Taylor for the sum 
of Fifty? Two shillings & nine pence and costs at the instance of Archibald 
McCallum levied on one hundred and two acres of land the property of said 
Taylor on the south side of Ashpole joining the land Archibald McCallum and 
Henry Thompson Ordered that the sheriff sell the same

Ordered that Joseph Wood and John Regan be appointed as a commity to act with 
the Tresure of the Public Building to contract with sum person to Repairing the 
Court house

John Blount appointed constable in Captain Blounts district who entered into 
bond with John Regan his security
