of Warren Alford & that his brother John McCallum Angus McCallum 
carpenter and his hands also Doctor Jordan hands work under him on 
said road together with the former hands

At a Special Court held at the Court House in the Town of Lumberton 
on this day

Present the Worshipful John Regan Joseph Wood & Joseph Regan 
Esquires

James McQueen esquire Clerk of the Court of Pleas and Quarter 
Sessions of the County aforesaid presented his resignation as such 
which was accepted & Robert Haills Esquire was appointed Clerk Pro 
Tem

At a Court of Pleas and quarter Sessions begun and held for the 
County of Robeson on the first Monday Aprial and thirty first year of the 
American independence Anno Domini 1807

Present the Worshipfull Joseph Wood Sion Allford John McLain 
Esquires

Ordered that Samuell Willis be overseer in the room and district of 
James Smith

Ordered that John Curry be overseer in the room and district of John 
Culbreath

Ordered that Archd McNeill Senr and Archd McNeill Junr and 
Alexander Patterson be a committee to settle with James McNeill 
administrator of the estate of John McMillan deceased and report to 
next term

Ordered that John McBride be overseer of the road in room of Angus 
Curry

Odered that Britton Britt pay to Treecy Looper alias Treecy Ivey the 
sum of Seven pounds for the maintainance of a bastard child for the 
past year

Ordered that Jacob Barnes be oversser of the road in the area? from 
Thompsons Old field to where Sampson Pitman formerly lived and that 
the former hands work thereon
