County court minutes 1797-1813, North Carolina, Superior Court (Robeson 
County) – 1806-1813

[Deeds were always either "acknowledged in open court" or "proved by oath 
of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, these have 
been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved by...."]

(/) was appointed Constable in Captain Sterlings District who entered into bond 
with William Barnes his security

Neill McIntagart appointed Constable in Captain Campbells district who entered 
into bond with Archd McNeill and Daniel McMillan his securities

Administration on the estate of William Barnes deceased was granted to William 
Barnes Junior who entered into bond in the sum two hundred pounds with John 
Flowers and Britton Barnes his securities Ordered that he sell the perishable 
property belonging to said estate

Howell Harrell appointed constable in Captain Biggs District who entered into 
bond with John Humphry and James Biggs his securities

Archd McNeill Esquire Randol Curry

Archibald McNeill John McPhaul & John Pursell who were a committee to divide 
the estate of David Johnson deceased made their report which was ordered to be 
filed

William Barnes who was appointed administrator on the estate of William Banres 
Senr Deceased returned an inventory of the estate of said intestate which was 
ordered to be filed

Court adjourned untill tomorrow 9 oclock

The sheriff having returned the Venire Facias the Court selected the following 
gentlemen to serve as Grand Jurors during this term to Wit William Barnes John 
Porter Kedar Hawthorn John (/) John Shaw Jesse Lee Jacob Rhodes Mittchell Biggs 
Dugald Graham John Brook Duncan Brown Angus McCallum & Moses Hill

Ordered that the following Gentlemen be Inspectors of the (/) at the several 
Elections in this County for the present year
