William Ashley declared that the said Note of hand was deposited at his House for the purpose of Securing the sd Debt Ordered therefore that the said 12000 feet of Lumber be condemned to the use of the plaintiff and that the said William Norment deliver the Lumber above mentioned into the hands of the sheriff and that the sheriff sell the same & make return to next Court Ordered that William Barnes be overseer of the road from over the first Run in Ashpole on the East side of said Swamp to the end of his lane and the hands who formerly worked on this side of Ashpole under him be continued on said road Ordered that Thomas Waters be appointed overseer of the road in room of Absalom Pitman The sheriff returned a list of Insolvents for the year 1806 amounting to 55 polls which was accepted by the Court (/) Page 47 [image 243b] Ordered that John Storm John Regan Robert Haills and William Ashley or a majority of them be a committee to divide the estate of James Odum deceased among the heirs of the deceased and report to next Court Ordered that Allen McLachlin be allowed the sum of twenty four shillings for attending the Grand Jury during this Term The Report of the Jury who laid off a road agreeable to Jacob Rhodes Petition at last April Term was received and confirmed on condition that Jacob Rhodes will put the said road so laid off in legal order and that he keep it up in sufficient & legal order during the term of twelve months and that he enter into bond with security for performing the same Jacob Rhodes and Alfred Rowland entered into bond in the sum of five hundred pounds for keeping the aforesaid road in order as above directed James McQueen returned an execution at the suit of Murdock McInnes against Angus McCollum for the sum of Eleven pounds eight shillings & three pence and nine shillings cost levied on one hundred and fifty acres of land the property of said Angus McCollum by James Chisholm Constable situated on the West side of Shoe Heel joining the lands on which the Widow McCollum now lives Court adjourned until tomorrow 8 oclock File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/robeson/photos/documents/minutes2725gph.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ncfiles/ File size: 3.6 Kb
