County court minutes 1797-1813, North Carolina, Superior Court (Robeson 
County) – 1806-1813

of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, these have 
been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved by...."]

At a Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions begun and held at the Court house in 
Lumberton for the County of Robeson on Monday the 5th day of October Anno 
Domini 1807 and in the thirty second year of American Independence

Present the worshipfull Joseph Regan Archibald McNeill Duncan Campbell Esquires

The Sheriff returned the Venire Facias and the Court selcected the following 
Gentlemen to serve as Grand Jurors during this term To Wit John Storm John 
Regan James McRee Noah Pitman William Sterling Duncan Crawford Roderick McNair 
Angus Black Joshua Hawthorn John McVicar Thomas Musselwhite Jordan Philips & 
John Humphrey and Jacob Mercer was sworn Constable to attend them

Ordered that John McCormick Blacksmith be overseer of the road in room and 
district of Dempsey Powell

Ordered that Absolam Davis be overseer of the road in room of Daniel Mathews

Ordered that Gilbert Cox keep up the part of the road which lies below his Mill 
and his own hands and Isham Cox work thereon
