County court minutes 1797-1813, North Carolina, Superior Court (Robeson County)

[Deeds were always either "acknowledged in open court" or "proved by oath 
of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, these 
have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved by...."]

Ordered that the county tax for the year 1801 be 2/ on the poll & eight 
pence on each hundred acres of land & 2/ on every hundred pounds town 
property and 6d? on the poll & two pence on each hundred acres of land for 
the jail tax

Ordered that the administrators of James Lewis Deceased sell the personal 
property of the deceaseds estate

Ordered that Thomas Barnes sheriff be allowed for his extra services for 
the year 1801 the sum of forty five pounds

Ordered that Josiah Barnes clerk be allowed for his extra services the sum 
of twenty pounds and also three pounds for stationary for the year 1801

On application of Isaac Falk it is ordered agreeab[l]e to an act of Assembly 
that the said Isaac Falk shall hereafter be known & called by the name of 
Isaac Bledsoe by which he shall sue & be sued

Deed from Levey Strickland to Sion Alford proved by John Fiveash

Administration on the estate James Lewis was granted to Richard Lewis & 
Elizabeth Lewis who entered into bond in the sum of two hundred pounds with 
Benjamin and Jame Lewis their securities and quallified as such and returned 
an inventory of said estate & ordered to be filed
