Tuesday October the 8th 1807

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipfull Sion Alford Archibald McNeill & John Regan Esquires

Ordered that a former order which was passed at last July Term directing Wiley 
Alford to pay Susanah McDugald the sum of eight dollars for the maintance of a 
bastard child be resinded

Ordered that Donald Stewart be appointed overseer of the road in the room and 
district of Duncan McNeill and that he work the hands that formerly worked 
under McNeill Wm Munroe excepted

Ordered that Neill McIntagart be removed from office of constable and that Danl 
Graham be appointed untill next court to act as constable

Ordered that Robert Bulock be appointed overseer of the road leading from 
Ashpool to Lowrie Bridge

Ordered that the sheriff sumon the following gentlemen to attend as jurours to 
Next Term (to wit) Willis Loe Bengeman Lewis Lemuel Thompson George Thompson 
John Thompson Jacob Blount Danl Campbell John Biggs Edward Love John Pope James 
Stewart Randol McDonald Daniel Loe

William Sterling agent of Stephen Sterling vs William Norment garnishee In this 
case it is ordered by the Court that the defendant deliver up 12000 ft of 
Lumber to the Sheriff in time to be advertised for Sale at the next Term and 
that the sheriff return the money arising from the sale thereof to the next 
Term and be in full discharge of a note given tby the defendant and that unless 
he deliver the Lumber as above to the Sheriff at least ten days before the 
sitting of next Court then final Judgement be taken against the defendant and 
execution issued against him

Ordered that Sion Alford Esquire take the deposition of John Huston in a 
certain suit now depending wherein Angus McCallum is plaintiff and Archibald 
Buie defendant and that the depositions so taken shall be read as evidence in 
the said suit

Ordered that Finlay Chisholm be overseer of the road in room of John McInnis

Ordered that the County Treasurer pay to Richard Powell the sum of 4.2.6 for 
work done to the Court House by Oliver Raeling
