Wednesday April 6th 1808

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipfull William Ashley Sampson Bridgers & Archibald McNeill 
Esquires

Ordered that Patrick Johnson work on the road from Gilchrists Bridge to 
Archibald McEacherns under Neill McDuffy overseer

Ordered that Allen McLachlen Constable be allowed the sum of thirty two 
shillings for his attendance on the Grand jury last July term

Ordered that William Sterling Francis L Haines and Jacob Pope be a Committee to 
divide the Real and personall Property belonging to the Estate of Wright Legget 
deceased so as to lay off for Erick Legget his share of said property

Ordered that Andrew Sinclair be overseer of the road in room of William Munroe

Ordered that Hector McKenzie keep the Bridge on the little Marsh in good and 
sufficient order

Ordered that Alexander Johnson be allowed to alter the road leading by his 
plantation and that he put the road so altered in good & sufficient order

Malcom McNeill Esquire returned an execution against Spencer Gilbert and George 
Goodwyn for the sum of twenty four dollars and eight shillings constables fees 
at the Instance of Zephaniah Leonard levied on 520 acres of land the property of 
George Goodwin Ordered that the sheriff sell the same

John McNeill Esquire returned an execution against John Gunn at the suit of 
Zephaniah Leonard for the sum of twenty two dollars and fifty cents with 
Interest till paid levied on one town lot the property of said Gunn in the Town 
of Lumberton opposite Robert Haills Esquire Ordered that the sheriff sell the 
same

An Inventory of the estate of Isham Sealy was returned by his Administratrix 

Administration on the estate of Isham Sealy was granted to Hatty Sealy who 
entered into bond in the sum of two hundred pounds with James Lewis her security

An Inventory of the estate of Henry Pope was returned by his administrators
