James Chisholm appointed constable in Captain Jordans District who entered into 
bond with James McQueen his security

It having been represented to the Court that Duncan McAlpin had deserted his 
family Ordered that John McAlpin and Nathaniel McAlpin children of the said 
Duncan McAlpin be bound to Malcom McMillan Grandfather to the said children

Ordered that William Ashley John Regan and Alexander Rowland Esquires be a 
committee to settle with John McColl & Neill McGill admrs of John McKay deceased 
and that they report next term

Court adjourned untill Court in Course

At a Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions Begun and held for the County of 
Robeson at the Court house in Lumberton on the first Monday in July and 32nd 
year of Our Independence AD 1808

Present the worshipfull Archd McNeill Senr Archd McNeill Junr & James McNeill 
Esquires

Ordered that Dugald McMillen be overseer of the road in room of Randle Currie

Ordered that John McCorvey be overseer of the road in room of Danl Buie

Ordered that Randal Currie and David Torry be a committee to settle with James 
McNeill Guardian of Hugh McPherson

John Blount Constable allowed the sum of Eaight Shillings Per Day for Eaight 
Days attending the three last Superiour Courts

Jacob Merser Constable allowed the sum of sixty four shilling for his attendance 
at the three last Superiour Courts

Court adjourned untill tomorrow 11 oclock
