At a Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions begun and held at the Town of Lumberton 
for the County of Robeson on Monday the 25th day of February Anno Domini 1811

Present the worshipful Charles Moore William Thompson Sherwood Fort Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias and the Court selected the following 
gentlemen to serve as Grand Jurors during this term To Wit John Storm Peter 
Buchan John McRae James McRee Owen Clinton Daniel Peterson John McEachern 
Charles McDougd Angus Black Absalom Davis John Brown ? Thomas Harrington John 
McCallum John Brown ? Martin Martin

Ordered that John Walker be overseer of the road in room of Edward Wilkison and 
that Duncan McMilen Junr John McMilen John McBride and John McLaughlin work 
under him

Ordered that Neill McLean Junior be overseer of the road in room of Alexander 
McNeill

Ordered that Gideon Elvington be overseer of the road in room of Danl Powell

Ordered that Capt William Barnes have leave to turn the road to the west side of 
his dweling house

Ordered that William Looper be overseer of the road in room of Robert Inman

Ordered that John McKay be overseer of the road in room of Peeter Johnston and 
work the said Johnston and the hands formerly under him

Ordered that Danl McNeill be overseer of the road of James Humphry

Ordered that Danl McPhaul John Campbell and Danl Wilkison be a committee to 
settle with Edward Wilkingson Execr of Neill Ray

Ordered that in future Zachariah Musselwhite work on the road leading from 
Elizabeth to Powers Bridge on the Great Swamp

Ordered that John Hesters John Flowers and William Sterling Esquires be a 
committee to settle with the admr of Needham Rowland

Ordered that John Huston be overseer of the road in room of Michael Herring and 
that Benjamin Edwards and Isham Mathews work under him
