Court adjourned untill tomorrow nine oclock

Tuesday April the 8th 1806

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood Nicholas Powell Benjamin Lee Samuel
Biggs & Robert Haills Esquires

Ordered that Archibald McDugald be exempt from the payment of three polls
for the year 1805

Ordered that John Barnes be overseer of the road in room of Newitt Pitman

Ordered that Daniel McNeill be overseer of the road in room of John McNeill

Bill of sale from Elizabeth Fowler to John Hawthorn Junr acknowledged

Ordered that Henry Traywick be overseer of the road from Ashpole to the
south line & that the usual hands work under him

Ordered that the following Justices recieve the lists of taxable property
in the following districts for this year Viz
John Flowers - Capt Sterlings District
Benjamin Lee – Barnes
Thomas Sewell – Drakes
Zachariah Jordon – Jordons
John McEacharn – McEacharns
Wm McNeill – McCoys
Archd McNeill – McNeills
W. McNeill – McArthurs
Saml Bigs – Buies
Nicholas Powell – Barnes

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as
jurors at the next Superior Court for the District of Fayetteville viz
Thomas Sewell Andrew Fulmore John McNeill Albritain Drake Archd McNeill
Junr Esqr & Matthew Powers

Ordered that Daniel Powell be overseer of the road in room of Josiah Grantham

Daniel McPhaul & Daniel Stewart who were bail for Duncan McMillan in a
suit wherein Allen McLauchlan is plaintiff and Duncan McMillan defendant
came into court and surrendered him in discharge of bail when the
defendant was ordered in custody of the sheriff

Ordered that William McNeill Esqr be overseer of the road from the Red
Banks on Drowning Creek to Lowrys road & work the following hands to wit
John Walker Malcom Locklier Levi Lockleir John Lockleir Chas Oxendine
Jesse Oxendine James Lockleir & Major Lockleir

Ordered that Duncan Brown be overseer of the road from Malcom McInnis mill
to the red banks & that the following hands work under him to wit Dugald
Graham Daniel Danielly John Danielly Andrew Danielly Duncan Ramsey John
Walker Daniel McCallum Archibald Smith & Duncan McGirt Archd McGirt Angus
Munroe Archibald McLean Daniel McLean & John McLean / Taylor /

Ordered that Malcom McNeill be overseer of that part of the creek where
James Barfield was formerly overseer and that William Speight be added to
that district

Ordered that Donald McDugald be overseer of the road in room and district
of Malcom McNeill

Allen McLauchlin was appointed constable in Captain McArthurs District who
entered into bond with Nicholas McLauchlin and William McNair his
securities
